1. Who we are

DebtClock World is developed and operated by an individual developer. The app is available on Google Play under the package ID world.debtclock.app.

2. Data we collect

2.1 Account data (optional)

If you choose to create an account, we store:

• Email address
• Display name (chosen by you)
• Encrypted password (handled by Firebase Authentication)

Account creation is entirely optional. You can use the full app as a guest.

2.2 Guest data

Without an account, we generate an anonymous guest ID stored only on your device. This ID is used for the leaderboard and game statistics. It contains no personal information.

2.3 App statistics (stored locally)

The following data is stored locally on your device only (via AsyncStorage) and never transmitted to our servers:

• Game results (wins, streaks, points)
• Quiz progress and badges
• App preferences (language, favorites)
• Daily login streak

2.4 Leaderboard data

If you participate in the leaderboard, we store in Firebase Firestore:

• Your display name or guest name
• Score, wins, and active badge
• User ID (anonymized guest ID or Firebase UID)

You can request deletion of this data at any time by contacting us.

2.5 Firebase Analytics

We use Firebase Analytics to understand how the app is used. Firebase may collect device identifiers, crash reports, and usage patterns. This data is processed by Google LLC under their privacy policy: policies.google.com/privacy

You can opt out of analytics collection via your device's advertising settings.

2.6 Google AdMob

DebtClock World displays advertisements through Google AdMob. AdMob may collect and use data as described in Google's privacy policy to serve personalized or non-personalized ads. For more information: policies.google.com/technologies/ads

3. Data we do NOT collect

• Location data
• Contacts or address book
• Camera or microphone access
• Financial information
• Any data is never sold to third parties

4. Data retention

Local app data is retained until you uninstall the app or clear app data. Leaderboard data in Firebase is retained until you request deletion. Firebase Analytics data is retained according to Google's standard retention policies (up to 14 months).

5. Children's privacy

DebtClock World is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you are a parent and believe your child has provided us with personal data, please contact us.

6. Your rights (GDPR)

If you are in the European Union, you have the right to:

• Access your personal data
• Correct inaccurate data
• Request deletion ("right to be forgotten")
• Withdraw consent at any time
• Lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority

7. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted at this URL. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
